The highlight of 2016 has been the opening of the Honorary Consulate in Perth, following the appointment of Ms Aydan Rzaeva as the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Azerbaijan. Ms Rzaeva is responsible for all states and territories apart from the Australian Capital Territory, and has the task of building upon the good relationships that already exist between Azerbaijan and Australia at the political, business and societal levels.
